Hen House Blues

I am a big husky Rooster,

You think my job is easy,

brother you are wrong,

I got nineteen hens,

When I crow far daybreak, that sets them nineteen hens off,

They line up to see which one is first,

I start searching far worms,

When I find, that is all it takes the hens start thier racing far it,

I scatch far another,

I got the hen house blues,

I am lucky to get one worm before they want to get love on thier mind,

I got the hen house blues,

I keep on searching while they argue about which one was last,

Brother I cant tell them nineteen hens look just alike,

I got the hen house blues,

When I rest awhile,

I will hop the first in reach,

that the way I will start my day,

I got the hen house blues,

I will then scrach worms and hop hens till the old sun goes down,

You now think my job is easy,

I got the hen house blues,

Brother, when those nineteen hens go to sleep, I am so happy,

I got the hen house blues.
